STEPS TO FOLLOW TO TAKE CCP COURSES
Step 1: Attend the mandatory counseling - this is for both the student and parent/guardian. The counseling is a video posted above.
Step 2: After attending the mandatory counseling pick up from HS Guidance Office and turn in Intent to Participate Form by April 1 of each year (NOTE: turning this form in does NOT mean you have to take CCP classes, only that you intend to take classes).
Step 3: Apply to the college(s) of your choice. Student and families must decide what State of Ohio college/university or participating private college/university you want to attend. You apply on your own and follow the steps for admission. (NOTE: You can reach many websites of colleges/universities CCP pages by doing a internet search of the college/university name followed by "College Credit Plus" or "CCP").
Step 4: Request for HS Guidance Office to send your transcript to the college/university for which you have applied.
Step 5: Take applicable college entrance exams - refer to the college/university you applied to for this information and how to set this up. Contact your college advisor for help.
Step 6: Register for classes with the college/university. You will do this with your college advisor. (NOTE: Students attending Northwest State Community College will register for classes with the HS Guidance Office).
Step 7: Send class schedule to HS Guidance Office to confirm classes your are taking and that you are meeting graduation requirements.
